“Fourteen creatures. I counted twice.”
Paintings, prints, and stickers of very small creatures having a nice time — by Francesca Chalfoun. Every piece gets a number, a label, and a proper place in the index.
HERO IMAGE — the piece you most want people to see first. A big, colourful painting works best here. Shoot it flat, straight on, in daylight.

“Every cloud named and filed properly.”

“A real tally from a real month of watching.”
Once in pencil, once in paint, and once more in the spreadsheet.
Everything starts in a notebook — usually at the kitchen table, usually at 11pm, usually badly at first.
Gouache, mostly. Small brushes, flat colour, and an unreasonable amount of patience for clean edges.
Every finished piece gets a number, a size, and a row in the index. This is secretly my favourite part.
PHOTO — Fran at her desk, mid-project. Slightly messy, good daylight, paint on her hands.
hi, it’s me — Fran ✿
I’m Francesca — Fran to almost everyone. I paint small creatures and small moments, and I keep track of all of it far more carefully than anyone asked me to. If you like things that are cheerful and well-organised, we’re going to get along.
Commissions, wholesale, a question about a piece, or just a hello — all of it is welcome.
